When Amos C Tenney was born on 22 September 1793, in Hill, Merrimack, New Hampshire, United States, his father, Moses Tenney, was 28 and his mother, Sally Garland, was 23. He married Hannah R Cass on 3 January 1819, in Plano, Kendall, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Corinth, Orange, Vermont, United States for about 10 years and Vermont, United States in 1870. He died on 13 January 1848, in Little Rock, Kendall, Illinois, United States, at the age of 54, and was buried in Lette Cemetery, Millington, Kendall, Illinois, United States.

The Eleventh Amendment restricts the ability of any people to start a lawsuit against the states in federal court.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.
