She married Árni Jónsson on 28 May 1792, in Stadur i Hrutafirdi, Húnavatnssýsla, Northwest, Iceland. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 17 May 1842, in Giljar, Borgarfjarðarsýsla, Western, Iceland, at the age of 77, and was buried in Reynir, Vestur-Skaftafellssýsla, Southern, Iceland.
