He married Ann Eliza Futhey on 17 January 1769, in Chester Township, Delaware, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 6 daughters. He died on 27 September 1804, in Buffalo Crossroads, Buffalo Township, Union, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 63, and was buried in Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union, Pennsylvania, United States.
