He married Agnes Rosina BURCKIN on 2 November 1751, in Roßwag, Vaihingen, Württemberg, Germany. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 4 April 1806, in Ludwigsburg, Württemberg, Germany, at the age of 81.
