When Friedrich Eymann was born on 26 August 1841, in Erlenbach im Simmental, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Jakob Eymann I, was 26 and his mother, Rosina Katharina Baertschi, was 23. He married Katharina Jungen on 1 December 1865, in Erlenbach im Simmental, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 10 March 1910, at the age of 68.
