When Silipa Mafi Muhumuhu was born about 1879, in Matamaka, Vava'u, Tonga, her father, Manase Mafi Muhumuhu, was 37 and her mother, 'Olivia Vuna, was 32. She married Tu'ivailala Toa about 1900, in Vava'u, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 8 daughters. She died in 1942, in Kolomotu'a, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 64, and was buried in Makave, Vava'u, Tonga.
