When James Heard was born on 21 January 1696, in Kittery, York, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, his father, Capt. John Heard, was 29 and his mother, Phebe Littlefield, was 42. He married Mary Roberts on 7 April 1720, in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 5 daughters. He died on 3 October 1725, in his hometown, at the age of 29, and was buried in Old Kittery, York, Maine, United States.
