When Christen Jensen was christened on 24 June 1712, in Hellum, Dronninglund, Hjørring, Denmark, his father, Jens Pedersen, was 45 and his mother, Maren Christensdatter, was 31. He married Bodil Andersdatter on 22 April 1754, in Hellevad, Dronninglund, Hjørring, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He died in March 1773, in his hometown, at the age of 60, and was buried in Hellum, Dronninglund, Hjørring, Denmark.

1713 · Royal Danish Military Academy

The Royal Danish Military Academy educated and commissioned all officers for the Royal Danish Army. The Military Academy function was initiated in 1713 by request of King Frederick IV on inspiration from the Naval Academy.

1730 · Danish Asia Company

The Danish Asiatic Company was a trading company established to revive the dwindling Danish trade with the East Indies and China. It was taken over by the Danish government in 1772 and continued to run until around 1843.
