When Sarah Eliza Bowerman was born in 1855, in Fredericksburgh Township, Lennox, Canada West, British North America, her father, Henry Stinson Bowerman, was 26 and her mother, Marie Margaret Lucas, was 22. She married Miro Venchultz McCabe on 11 November 1874, in Napanee, Lennox and Addington, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 5 daughters. She died on 13 March 1887, in her hometown, at the age of 32, and was buried in Parks Cemetery, Greater Napanee, Lennox and Addington, Ontario, Canada.

1867 · Ontario Founded

1883 · Mining Boom
In 1883, there was a mining boom in Northern Ontario when mineral deposits were found near Sudbury. Thomas Flanagan was the blacksmith for the Canadian Pacific Railway that noticed the deposits in the river.
