He married Mary "Polly" Haley on 5 July 1792, in Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Burton, Strafford, New Hampshire, United States in 1830 and Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine, United States in 1840. He died on 1 March 1841, in Topsham, Sagadahoc, Maine, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in John Goodwin Cemetery, Baldwin, Cumberland, Maine, United States.
