When Christian Bracher was christened on 4 February 1720, in Steffisburg, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Melchior Bracher, was 30 and his mother, Magdalena Hager, was 31. He married Elsbeth Gerber on 5 February 1745, in Rüegsau, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 6 April 1755, at the age of 35.
