He married Johanna Annatje Ryerson on 7 September 1715, in Long Hill Township, Morris, New Jersey, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 6 daughters. He died on 24 October 1732, in Acquackanonk Township, Essex, New Jersey, British Colonial America, at the age of 38.
