When Carolina Johansdotter was born on 9 September 1852, in Hjälmseryd, Jönköping, Sweden, her father, Johan Magnusson, was 27 and her mother, Johanna Carlsdotter, was 24. She married Johannes Carlsson in 1870, in Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She died about 1879, at the age of 28.
