Meredith Prewitt was born on 27 June 1805, in Kentucky, United States as the son of Joseph Prewitt. He married Martha Drain on 10 August 1829, in Washington, Kentucky, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Marion, Kentucky, United States for about 10 years. He died on 18 July 1855, at the age of 50.
