When Erastus Westover was born on 7 January 1799, in Sutton, Brome, Canada East, British North America, his father, Moses Westover Jr., was 30 and his mother, Hannah Hopkins, was 21. He married Mary Ann Jewell on 10 April 1825, in St. Thomas, Elgin, Canada West, British North America. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He lived in Warwick, Lambton, Canada West, British North America in 1851 and Warwick Township, Lambton, Ontario, Canada for about 6 years. He registered for military service in 1828. He died on 17 August 1878, in Arkona, Lambton, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 79.
