When Verena Baumann was born on 16 May 1812, in St. Peterzell, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, her father, Joseph Baumann, was 21 and her mother, Salomea Bühler, was 22. She married Christian Brunner on 3 April 1834, in St. Peterzell, Neckertal, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 7 daughters. She died on 8 December 1853, at the age of 41, and was buried in St. Peterzell, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland.
