They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 1 daughter. She lived in Taylors Bridge, Sampson, North Carolina, United States in 1880 and Island Creek Township, Duplin, North Carolina, United States for about 10 years. She died on 10 April 1910, at the age of 31, and was buried in Watson Cemetery, Waycross, Sampson, North Carolina, United States.

1881 · The Assassination of James Garfield

Garfield was shot twice by Charles J. Guitea at Railroad Station in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 1881. After eleven weeks of intensive and other care Garfield died in Elberon, New Jersey, the second of four presidents to be assassinated, following Abraham Lincoln.

1882 · The Chinese Exclusion Act

A federal law prohibiting all immigration of Chinese laborers. The Act was the first law to prevent all members of a national group from immigrating to the United States.

1890 · The Sherman Antitrust Act

This Act tried to prevent the raising of prices by restricting trade. The purpose of the Act was to preserve a competitive marketplace to protect consumers from abuse.
