When Joseph French Huntoon was born on 17 May 1795, in New Hampshire, United States, his father, Phineas Huntoon, was 27 and his mother, Mehitable French, was 25. He married Clorinda Phelps on 27 February 1820, in St. Lawrence, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Leslie, Ingham, Michigan, United States in 1860. He died in 1862, in St. Clair, Michigan, United States, at the age of 67.

1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.

1808 · Concord Becomes the Capital

In 1808, Concord became the capital of New Hampshire. It was originally the Penacook Plantation given to the state by the Massachusetts Bay Colony. 

1819 · Panic! of 1819

With the Aftermath of the Napoleonic Wars the global market for trade was down. During this time, America had its first financial crisis and it lasted for only two years.
