When Anders Nilsson was born on 12 October 1766, in Bottnaryd, Jönköping, Sweden, his father, Nils Bengtsson, was 35 and his mother, Catharina Jonsdotter, was 37. He married Sara Jönsdotter on 8 December 1790. He died in 1806, at the age of 40.
