When Katharina Glanzmann was born on 3 September 1740, in Hasle bei Burgdorf, Bern, Switzerland, her father, Benedikt Glanzmann, was 43 and her mother, Anna Grossenbacher, was 40. She married Johannes Bruggimann on 17 April 1761. She died on 26 March 1793, at the age of 52.
