When Hs. Ulrich Bollmann was born on 23 February 1808, in Bottighofen, Thurgau, Switzerland, his father, Andreas Bollmann, was 23 and his mother, Esther Oberhänsli, was 24. He married Anna Katharina Düssli on 8 December 1831, in Scherzingen, Thurgau, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 9 April 1883, at the age of 75.
