When Finn Nilsen Søndre Sollaust was born in 1745, in Sand, Nord-Odal, Hedmark, Norway, his father, Nils Finnsen Sollaust, was 27 and his mother, Berte Larsdatter Breiby, was 24. He married Siri ( Sigrid) Olsdatter Skjeppestad on 25 October 1770, in Sør-Odal, Hedmark, Norway. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He died in 1798, in his hometown, at the age of 53.
