When John Chute was born on 19 June 1720, in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, his father, Lyonel Chute, was 39 and his mother, Hannah Cheney, was 36. He married Judith Foster on 26 November 1745, in Hampstead, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 4 daughters. He died in November 1791, in Bridgetown, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 71.
