He married Lydia Gallop on 6 July 1802, in Kingsclear, York, New Brunswick, Canada. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in Sunbury, New Brunswick, Canada in 1778 and Westmorland, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada in 1778. He died on 11 February 1868, in Jewetts Mills, Bright, York, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 89, and was buried in Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery, Keswick Ridge, Bright, York, New Brunswick, Canada.
