When Paul Atwood was born on 19 April 1887, in Michigan City, Michigan Township, LaPorte, Indiana, United States, his father, Emery C. Atwood, was 40 and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Raymond, was 40. He married Alice Noreen Daniels on 26 September 1921, in Cook, Illinois, United States. He lived in El Paso, El Paso, Texas, United States in 1900 and Santa Monica Judicial Township, Los Angeles, California, United States in 1940. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 16 November 1940, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 53, and was buried in Los Angeles National Cemetery, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States.

1890 · The Sherman Antitrust Act

This Act tried to prevent the raising of prices by restricting trade. The purpose of the Act was to preserve a competitive marketplace to protect consumers from abuse.

1892 · The Masonic Temple Building

The Masonic Temple Building was a skyscraper built in Chicago and from 1895 to 1920 it was the tallest building in Chicago. The building featured a central court surrounded by shops on nine floors. On top of the shops there were meeting rooms that were also used as theaters. In 1939 the Masonic Temple was demolished, and a Walgreens drug store was erected in its place.
