When Samuel Westover was born on 22 May 1798, in Sutton, Brome, Canada East, British North America, his father, Amasa Westover, was 22 and his mother, Polly Waterhouse, was 31. He married Phoebe Jones on 14 March 1818, in Saint Catharines, Lincoln, Upper Canada, British North America. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Malahide Township, Elgin, Canada West, British North America in 1842 and Malahide Township, Middlesex, Canada West, British North America in 1842. He registered for military service in 1828. He died on 26 February 1877, in Malahide Township, Elgin, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 78, and was buried in Malahide Township, Elgin, Ontario, Canada.
