When Hans Bolliger was born on 5 October 1732, in Aargau, Switzerland, his father, Hans Rudolf Bolliger, was 36 and his mother, Verena Walthi, was 28. He married Anna Maria Hunziker on 19 April 1771. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He died on 14 July 1788, at the age of 55.
