When Aaron Thayer was born on 25 January 1792, in Fairfield, Franklin, Vermont, United States, his father, Stephen Thayer, was 26 and his mother, Anna Twitchell, was 21. He married Cynthia Briggs in 1819. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 18 September 1856, in Rome, Oneida, New York, United States, at the age of 64.
