When Anders Johansson was born on 26 June 1793, in Slätthult, Berg, Kronoberg, Sweden, his father, Johan Jakobsson, was 55 and his mother, Ingrid Svensdotter, was 30. He married Caisa Mathisdotter on 4 November 1815. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 13 August 1850, in his hometown, at the age of 57, and was buried in Slätthult, Berg, Kronoberg, Sweden.
