She lived in Choctaw, Mississippi, United States in 1860 and Justice Precinct 6, Stephens, Texas, United States in 1880. She died on 22 December 1885, in Gilmer, Upshur, Texas, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Upshur, Texas, United States.

1822 · Slave Rebellion

On June 16, 1822, Denmark Vesey a free and self-educated African American leads a slave rebellion called "the rising." The interesting thing about this rebellion is that it does not really happen. The only thing the judges have to go on is the testimony of people that witness it.

1825 · The Crimes Act

The Crimes Act was made to provide a clearer punishment of certain crimes against the United States. Part of it includes: Changing the maximum sentence of imprisonment to be increased from seven to ten years and changing the maximum fine from $5,000 to $10,000.

1844 · German Immigration to Texas

Over 7,000 German immigrants arrived in Texas. Some of these new arrivals died in epidemics; those that survived ended up living in cities such as San Antonio, Galveston, and Houston. Other German settlers went to the Texas Hill Country and formed the western portion of the German Belt, where new towns were founded: New Braunfels and Fredericksburg.

Scottish and northern English: occupational name from Middle English hunter(e) ‘huntsman’ (see Hunt ).

Irish (Antrim and Derry): adopted for Gaelic Ó Fiaich (see Fee ) due to confusion with the word fiadhach ‘hunt’.

History: A Scottish family of this name (see 1 above) has been established at Hunterston (Ayrshire) since the 13th century.
