Rev. Sir Algernon Coote, 11th Bt. was born on 29 September 1817.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Henry Coote, 9th Bt. and Caroline Elizabeth Whaley.2 He married, firstly, Cecilia Matilda Plumptre, daughter of John Pemberton Plumptre and Catherine Methuen, on 12 February 1847.1 He married, secondly, Constance Headlam, daughter of T. H. Headlam, on 25 September 1879.2 He died on 20 November 1899 at age 82.2 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar at Nonington, Kent, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Coote, of Castle Cuffe, Queen's Co. [I., 1621] on 15 November 1895.1 He lived at Ballyfin, County Laois, IrelandG.1 Children of Rev. Rugby Football 'invented' at Rugby School.
The Factory Act restricted the hours women and children could work in textile mills. No child under the age of 9 were allowed to work, and children ages 9-13 could not work longer than 9 hours per day. Children up to the age of 13 were required to receive at least two hours of schooling, six days per week.
