Brief Life History of Sæmundr
When Sæmundr Sigfússon was born in 1056, in Oddi, Rangárvallasýsla, Southern, Iceland, his father, Sigfús Loðmundarson, was 26 and his mother, Thórey Eyjólfsdóttir, was 29. He married Guðrún Kolbeinsdóttir about 1089, in Iceland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 22 May 1133, in his hometown, at the age of 77.
