When François Sebastien Ory was born on 13 September 1680, in Bréménil, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France, his father, Dominique Ory, was 11677 and his mother, Anna Maria Gourneau, was 20. He married Anna Marie Raigue on 4 November 1704, in Schirmeck, Bas-Rhin, France. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 30 July 1759, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 78.

1682 · The Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles was originally known as a hunting log and retreat for Louis XII. When Louis XIV took over he moved his family into it. After he died the palace was abandoned. It has since been turned into a museum.
