He married Rosanna Davis on 15 September 1858, in Drumclamph, County Tyrone, Ireland. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in County Tyrone, Ireland in 1901. He died on 24 October 1911, in Castlederg, County Tyrone, Ireland, at the age of 73.
