When Henry Moodie was born on 19 January 1835, in County Carlow, Ireland, his father, Thomas Moody, was 29 and his mother, Ann Driver, was 23. He married Sarah Ann Page on 5 August 1863, in Huron, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Macdonald Rural Municipality, Manitoba, Canada in 1906 and Red Deer, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Canada in 1911. He died on 4 February 1929, in Burnaby, Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of 94, and was buried in Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
