John Elmer Cameron was born on 3 December 1893, in St. Vincent, Kittson, Minnesota, United States as the son of Edward Cameron and Alice Eliza Clow. He married Clara Augusta Wolter on 6 December 1919, in Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Minnesota, United States in 1905. He registered for military service in 1919. He died on 18 December 1949, in South Dakota, United States, at the age of 56, and was buried in Denver, Colorado, United States.
