Virgil Dale Janousek

Brief Life History of Virgil Dale

He was educated in Hagerman and Smith's Ferry, Idaho. He served in the Navy during WWII. He worked for Morrison-Knudsen on the Anderson Ranch Dam and on Hells Canyon Dam. He was a truck driver for 30 years and was a member of Teamsters Union in Boise, ID.

1927 · Kansas Adopts a Flag

The flag of the State of Kansas was adopted on September 24, 1927. The flag was designed by Hazel Avery in 1925.

1937 · The Neutrality Act

The Neutrality Acts were passed in response to the growing conflicts in Europe and Asia during the time leading up to World War II. The primary purpose was so the US wouldn't engage in any more foreign conflicts. Most of the Acts were repealed in 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
