When Charles George Moller was born on 15 February 1833, in Berlin, Germany, his father, Joachim David Theodor Moller, was 31 and his mother, Mrs. C T Moller, was 28. He married Rose Elizabeth Hart on 26 April 1854, in Clarendon, South Australia, Australia. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 12 February 1919, in Brunswick, Victoria, Australia, at the age of 85, and was buried in Springvale Botanical Cemetery, Springvale, Victoria, Australia.
