He married Mercy Aikens on 24 September 1772, in Hardwick, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 7 daughters. He lived in Barnard, Windsor, Vermont, United States for about 10 years. He registered for military service in 1780. He died in 1814, in Norfolk, St. Lawrence, New York, United States, at the age of 70.
