When Anders Olafsson was born about 1727, in Ullervad, Skaraborg, Sweden, his father, Olaf Bengtsson, was 53 and his mother, Kierstin Svensson, was 47. He married Kiersten Jonsdotter on 29 November 1761. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 20 June 1787, in his hometown, at the age of 61.
