When Peter Aiken was born on 8 May 1763, in Londonderry, Rockingham, New Hampshire, United States, his father, Deacon Edward Aiken, was 35 and his mother, Margaret Woodburn, was 33. He married Elizabeth Goodhue on 21 December 1797, in Windham, Vermont, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He registered for military service in 1780. He died on 19 January 1828, in Windham, Vermont, United States, at the age of 64.
