When Elizabeth Tracy was born on 20 January 1755, in Sharon, Litchfield, Connecticut, United States, her father, Thomas Tracy, was 30 and her mother, Lucy Sprague, was 19. She married Daniel West on 22 September 1774, in Lee, Berkshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 6 daughters. She died on 6 June 1817, in Brighton, Monroe, New York, United States, at the age of 62, and was buried in Brighton, Monroe, New York, United States.
