When María Isabel Uribe Vélez was born in 1753, in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia, her father, José Antonio Uribe Sánchez, was 26 and her mother, Bárbara Rosalía Vélez de Rivero y López de Restrepo, was 19. She married Luis Ignacio Angel de Prado y Uribe on 11 November 1769, in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 6 daughters. She died about 1787, in her hometown, at the age of 35, and was buried in Colombia.
