When Orm Ormsen Bergeland was born in 1757, in Ombo, Rogaland, Norway, his father, Orm Kristensen Bergeland, was 39 and his mother, Malene Sveinsdatter Fister, was 43. He married Borghild Andersdatter Rake on 9 July 1780, in Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. He died in 1818, in Nessa, Rogaland, Norway, at the age of 61, and was buried in Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway.
