He married Lavinia Wyntje Snyder on 16 July 1785, in Albany, Albany, New York, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 6 daughters. He immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1797. He died after 1846, in Albion, Peel, Ontario, Canada.
