When Tryal Allyn was born on 14 April 1744, in Groton, New London, Connecticut, United States, his father, Samuel Allyn, was 39 and his mother, Hannah Avery, was 25. He married Mary Morgan from 1761 to 1793. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He died in March 1814, in his hometown, at the age of 69.
