When Adam Bowman was born on 15 April 1779, in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, George Adam Bowman UE, was 48 and his mother, Anna Maria Conrad, was 38. He married Hannah May on 1 September 1801, in Niagara, Upper Canada, British North America. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Flamborough Township, Halton, Canada West, British North America in 1851 and Nelson Township, Halton, Ontario, Canada in 1861. He died on 15 April 1865, in Ontario, Canada, at the age of 86, and was buried in Port Dalhousie, Ontario, Canada.

Pennsylvania was always against slavery, even though the first settlers, including Penn, came with slaves. Slavery was not prominent in the area.

1781 · The First Constitution

Serving the newly created United States of America as the first constitution, the Articles of Confederation were an agreement among the 13 original states preserving the independence and sovereignty of the states. But with a limited central government, the Constitutional Convention came together to replace the Articles of Confederation with a more established Constitution and central government on where the states can be represented and voice their concerns and comments to build up the nation.
