When Anders Martensson was born on 30 September 1761, in Katslösa, Ljunit, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Marten Matsson, was 27 and his mother, Kierstena Andersdr, was 23. He married Anna Jonsdr on 12 November 1783. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 19 December 1829, in his hometown, at the age of 68.
