When Kjerstena Martensdr was born on 29 February 1788, in Kattslösa, Qvistofta, Rönneberg, Malmöhus, Sweden, her father, Nils Martensson, was 44 and her mother, Anna Trulsdotter, was 32. She married Anders Martensson on 17 November 1809. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 3 January 1842, in her hometown, at the age of 53.
