Raymundo Reyes was born in 1862, in Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa de Copán, Copán, Honduras as the son of Serbulo Reyes and Selenia Rosales. He married Maria Dolores Alfaro on 21 July 1883, in Comasagua, La Libertad, El Salvador. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 8 daughters.
